PART OF THE SOLUTION
Why Black Kids?
The awful illnesses Black adults experience did not develop overnight. These chronic diseases develop over time. The beginning stages are often traced back to childhood... at times from behaviors like eating habits- what we eat, how we eat it, where it comes from and more.
Food, more specifically, healthful food helps kids grow and develop properly and reduces their risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers. Food is an important part of the solution in reducing illness and death caused from chronic diseases among the Black community.
